Jul. 20th, 2005 10:23 pmSooooo, one week back in America under my belt and I haven't accomplished as much as I would have liked so far, but I'm having a good time.
Didn't see Spoon, but I did see my nephew and he's so adorable. Also he is the least fussy baby I have ever known. Ourani is cute, but she's a handful. Didn't get adequate pictures because my camera was dead. But I'll be seeing them again next week, and there will be pictures.
Have thus far spent ridiculous amounts of money. But most (most) of the stuff is essential and impossible to get in Japan.
Read Harry Potter. Enjoyed it.
Remember how I said I can't study at home? It still applies, though I'm making progress with "The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe"
Also I was under the impression that I lived in the country, but the new house is in the middle of all the new development and the light pollution here is atrocious. And I've figured out why New Jersey bothers me so much as an area. I hate *new* developments. I like neighborhoods to be settled, with a slightly worn/grown in look about them. New Jersey is in a constant state of construction, thus always having that newly upturned look that I hate. It's kinda like that here now. I just hope that it will be alright when it settles. But that could be like 5 - 10 years.
Met Kelsey and Brandon yesterday and today. They look great and I was happy to see them again. Maybe we can meet again before I leave!
