I had my first interview yesterday since coming back. It's a automotive after market radiator manufacturing company, and it's for a desk job. I don't think I'll take it even if I do get it (the guy barely even asked me any questions, and started off the interview by telling me it's harder to explain what the company does to women because they don't care as much about cars).

I met up with Kerri and Igor afterwards, and we had a great time doing nothing special. We went to a small zoo at the park, tried out Dragon Quest 8, ate some great Jewish food, and had icecream AND bubble tea.

We talked about the alienation created in modern society from a loss of contact with the production process (I work for a company that makes things, but I don't see the product being made sitting in front of the CPU all day). I've often thought I would be happy as a farmer. What's more fulfilling than using your energy to grow something? Sure you don't really get any vacations, but you probably don't need them. And you get that satisfaction of using all of your energy every day and sleeping content, rather than sleeping to get to the next day.

Is it impossible to have a job like that without being a farmer? Well, I'm going to do my best to find it.
