Graduation and schtuff
May. 18th, 2004 08:09 pmHum, so much has happened, and yet I don't have the urge to write it all out. Friday evening my parents came, and we ate at the Number 5 restaurant. It's supposedly the best in the area, and the most expensive at $20 a plate. It's obviously run by a Greek person, due to high percentage of lemon used in the dishes offered, in addition to several of the dishes called "greek." We got the spinach pie, and for once we all liked it! I don't think we have ever ordered it at a restaurant and really liked it.
Saturday was the recognition ceremony, where I got my cheap ass "golden" rope for honors, and a letter of congratulations from the president of the university. I was stressing out all day trying not to forget my name card to give the lady at the mike when it was my turn to go up, and what do I do? I forget it at my seat when I have to go up....
lame
Sunday was the formal ceremony, where we wear the regalia and all that jazz. It was shorter than excpected, so that was nice. My parents were happy and my brother came as well and it was like old times when the four of us used to take vacations together.
Sticking around Binghamton for a couple more days to hang out with people and such. Yesterday was great, went go karting, and then picnic in the park. I slept for, oh, only about 12 hours last night. I'm sore for unknown reasons.
