Sep. 29th, 2005 01:42 pmSo I tried to catch the stray cat (who is so pretty, looks siamese and even has blue eyes!) that has been hanging around the factory I teach a class at. At first I thought it must be a cat that ran away from it's home. But it's afraid of people so we decided it must be a stray.
I tried to catch that cat for a half hour. Failed. Bought cat food, came back and tried for another half hour. Failed again. The cat is fucking smart. Threw cat food at it to lure it out, but it ran away and waited till we left that area and came back later.
I would love to have a kitty cat, even though it's not allowed.
There was something else I wanted to post about... Oh yeah! I went on a CD binge the other day (Loft had a 30% off bin, woot). Got Rage Against the Machine "Evil Empire," OutKast "Stankonia," Air "Talkie Walkie," and Beastie Boys "To the 5 Boroughs." All sweet albums. Completely shocked they were in that bin. Especially Air, whom I love but only ever had mp3's of.
Also got a 0.3mm mechanical pencil. It's an awesome pencil, but I think I'm finally learning that 0.3 pencils, no matter how good they are, are always finiky. (this is the third one I had to get this month.)
Yesterday I had my presentation on America at the other school. I think it was a little boring, but the kids were happy to see me again (I taught them last year for a couple of months) and all commented on how good my Japanese got (the presentation was all in Japanese. I messed up quite a few times though). That school has a way better gym outfit. That's for sure. I wouldn't mind wearing one of those myself. The one here is terrible. Ugly as hell.
and just remembered the last thing I wanted to talk about (this got a bit long, sorry) the Sports Festival! We finally had it! And it was pretty fun. The whole day went by very fast. I ran my 50 meters, but we lost by a lot (a whole lap). Oh well, there was no way that we teachers could win against 3rd years. The gap between the teacher team and the first years wasn't as bad. But the parent-teacher team for tug-of-war won against the student team. Whoo! That'll show em! I'll post pictures later.
