Nov. 16th, 2006 10:14 pmYesterday I bought the US version of Brain Age (脳年齢 to those of you who can read it). It's interesting the kinds of things they changed. Besides changing the "rock paper scissors" game with a "say the color, not the word" game (i.e. the word "blue" written in a yellow font) they have also changed the pitch of the countdown sound effects. Hmm. And I just unlocked a "read outloud" training that tells me I did it too fast for him to grade me? Don't see mysef doing that one often.
There are pluses, there is Sudoku in the game, and it understands lower case "i"s with the dot written AFTER (some of you know what I mean). And there are still more trainings to unlock, so we'll see what's going to happen with that.
I'm looking for programs to apply to for next year. I am looking for good programs that will get my foot in the door, allowing me to meet the professors and prove myself from withing the machine. It's really hard for me to compete on paper.
My cat is really old any dying probably. I don't know how to deal with that really. My father keeps saying she's gonna die, she's gonna die. I just don't want to hear that, you know?
OK, well back to writing this personal statement.
