I couldn't take the freezing cold in the computer room anymore, so I moved the computer into the TV room hoping all the cords would be long enough (namely the internet) and huzzah! they are. The benefit of being in the TV room is the presence of the toasty kotatsu. For the unaware a kotatsu is a space heater located underneath a table, and you drape a blanket on the table and stick your feet (and more if you are anything like me) under to warm up.
I still would rather have central heating......
