(no subject)

Updating from the Elementary school. Normally I love working elementary schools, but last week was kinda a bummer. I think there were some negative vibes affecting all the JET's though because I heard similar grievances across the board. This week so far promises to be much better. The last class I had the kids all cheered when they heard I'll be their ALT all year rather than different ones coming each time. Awww.

I had this fantasy that if I were a elementary school kid again now I wouldn't be so made fun of, but that's been proven wrong since I'm back in elementary now and I'm still being made fun of.

Work is piling up, and my saturday classes are being a pain in the ass. They are all older people so they have quite definite ideas of how I should be running the class and what sorts of things we should do. But mostly their ideas constitute blabbing about grandkids and golf. Thanks but no thanks. They just switch to Japanese after 5 seconds anyway.

In another week I'm starting another class in the evening. Eek. But it's only for 6 weeks I think.
