May. 5th, 2005 09:54 pmSo here are the pictures from my hiking trip to Nagano. They aren't really in chronological order, but the snowy ones are from the first day at the flower mountain, and the sunny ones are from the second day.

After a while it was all big rocks and we had to climb up them like goats. It was so much fun though. I enjoyed it.

It's a great view, isn't it? I yodeled (sp?) and the echo was great. Suzuki Sensei was totally impressed with my ability to make my voice boom. She couldn't even get close to loud enough.

This was the view from our ryokan (Japanese style hotel). I thought the road on the way up would never stop climbing.

This was my room at the ryokan.

An interesting spiral pattern created by melting snow around the tree.

The flowers that we went to see. They were itty biddy though. Eventually they are supposed to get tall and whatnot. I don't remember what these flowers are called in English. I know we have them though, I was asked and I couldn't remember.

Suzuki Sensei.
Me and Suzuki Sensei. She lent me the rain gear, and as you can see, it's way too short.
