Arrived in Hawaii last night. It was a pretty long flight. The last stretch over the Pacific was a bit overkill. My mom is pretty ticked off at me that I went "so far away" from her. She'll get over it I think.
After we arrived at the hotel with my parents, I had to catch a bus to the youth hostel near the University. It was a little adventure (none of my family members came with me.) I found it OK. It's a lot like a dorm, and not scary or anything. Most of the people staying here are students.
Today I have a lot of functions and stuff to go to. It'll be interesting. I wanted to take a Japanese course, but it looks like I'll have to take a proficiency test. Oh boy, I forgot so much of my kanji and vocab over this past year. Maybe I should have brought my level 2 certificate. Darn, that would have helped probably. Baka Stephanie.
I can't check my yahoo mail right now. E-mail me at my first initial and last name @ gmail if you want to contact me. I hate how PC's have no friggin' language support. I should change my Yahoo back to English, but I can't do it when all the links come up jibberish!
