So I finally got a place! I've been here about a week. I like it because it's close to school, clean, and the landlady is always giving me fruit. It's a little pricey though. My flatmates are a married Korean couple, I'll be making their intimate nights more difficult mwhahahaha...? Not sure if I should be evil laughing that? Anyway. The wife just moved to America a couple of weeks ago, and she didn't know anything about sharing a kitchen. She was like "we'll get our own drying rack." And I was like.... "um, no please don't. That would just be a waste of money and space. We can share, relax."

Other than that, classes are good so far. I'm just trying to get into a good Japanese course. It's not so easy because they are in such high demand! And I had a disadvantage because I couldn't register until I got approval from the department so of course everything was jam packed by the time I got that. PLUS I need an override on my prerequisites! Headache!

I didn't do any reading today. BUT! around 5pm I figured I'd search out the Pier 1 store (it's full of junk, I know, Dad). The bus took it's sweet ass time getting to the stop, so I said the hell with it, I'll walk to a more main street and pick up a different bus from there.

So I ended up first going to Waikiki and stopping by the hotel my parents were at since I forgot an item there. I caught a bus that was bound for the mall area (where I was going to find a Pier 1 supposedly), and instead eavesdropped on some other people's conversations to find out they are going to the Greek Festival! Huzzah to that! Gyros = yummy. I tagged along with the new people (which included Greeks, Japanese, and possibly Spanish), then lost them when I went to seek out an ATM, but the gyro was decent. HUGE line. I also got some pickled grape leaves (for making dolmadakia, but I eat them just like that because I'm weird) and pepperoncini Greek style. OK, so I'm not exactly being frugal, I can't help myself at these sorts of things! At least I didn't give in an buy a tub of feta cheese! $32! I really wanted to! It was probably yummy good!
