Kailua is Great!
Oct. 15th, 2007 09:56 pmYesterday Robyn and I forwent any studying and took the 1hr bus ride to the other side of the island. I am so glad that I did. I guess I didn't notice how worked up/on edge I was getting because as soon as we got off the bus I felt so happy I started giggling uncontrollably. It was great to see just a normal place where people actually live once again (as opposed to a Waikiki full of tourists type place).
Just being able to see a different part of the island that wasn't campus or around Ala Moana (where stores are etc.) was a cathartic experience. We've decided that this exploring the rest of the island is a necessitiy at least once a month to keep sane.
Kailua beach was beautiful. There were trees, waves, lots of blue water, super fine sand (but I forgave that)and a constant breeze. It wasn't even super hot, but comfortable. Alas, I didn't remember my camera, sorry.
Today in the mail room I was introduced to the quintessential Mary Sue. Enoby.... Oh my goodness..... I can't stand it.
