So I lost my chance to move into a studio that's less than half of what I'm paying now. Oh well. Shit happens.
Other news, school is going OK. I have some tests this week. I'm not studying for the JLPT as much and I probably need to. It's not going to be pretty.
We went to a new beach again this week. there were rocks here and sea urchins! Rather there was imported sand on the beach, but it was really supposed to be a rocky beach. it kinda made me feel nostalgic for greece. But getting pricked by the sea urchins wasn't fun. I finally dislodged one from the rocks and he was so cute!
I'm thinking of getting a zip drive so that I can backup my files. I suppose I could just make cd's but what a bother. Not that zips are any better. but they seem like they would be more protected than CD's. I've had CDs where the info part gets torn ripped melted by acid etc. Zips are at least encased. I dunno.
Oh class starts soon. This Japanese lady drives me nuts. I wonder what gems she'll have for us today. Previous ones include "Japanese words are richer than English." And "translation is impossible." And can't forget "your translation didn't get the essence of that word" Meanwhile this is a reading class, not a translation class. sigh
